Zamo Ntuli did a report last Sunday (17th June 18), telling the church of the amazing favor of the Lord during our Cook Islands trip in the month of May, and showing pics /faces of significant individuals we met and new relationships we made during the trip. Community Reporting, after significant trips like these, is not only consistent with ancient apostolic culture, but also ensures that the church “tracks the Lord” together with leadership concerning both (1) kingdom developments in the nations and (2) massive inner spiritual formation (back home) within the “sent” church itself – going to nations is a collective apostolic responsibility of the church and not an isolated task of leaders. We often travel over land and oceans to minister, only to unlock new spiritual formations and spiritual wells within our own hearts – this too must become the collective inheritance of the saints. Leaders must always find ways to “travel” and “move together” with the churches they lead. This is captured in the heart of Jesus, “… I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am” (John 14:3). Paul and Barnabas went back to Antioch to report: “on arriving there, they gathered the Church together and reported all that God had done through them… ” (Acts 14:27).
